Welcome to RiverRun Bookstore

We are pleased to announce that RiverRun is the very first stop on Chuck Palahniuk's Tell-All book tour.  We will be hosting him at The South Church on Tuesday May 4th at 7:00pm.

Unlike most of our events, this is a ticketed event.  Each ticket is $25 and includes a signed copy of Chuck's new book.  The first 100 people to buy tickets will be able to meet the author and have their copy of Tell-All and one other Palahniuk title personalized.  It's first come first served, so call us now at 603-431-2100.

Welcome to RiverRun Bookstore on the web!

If you live along the New Hampshire Seacoast (all 17 miles of it) you already know us as your friendly neighborhood bookstore, situated in the heart of downtown Portsmouth, NH. We hope you will stop in and meet us face to face, browse our great selection of books, and attend one of our many fantastic events. We work hard to make RiverRun an indispensable part of the Portsmouth community.

Sadly, dear reader, you cannot be in Portsmouth all the time. We hope this website will bring a bit of store to you  wherever you are. You can read our staff recommendations, find out about upcoming events, and take part in our online conversation about great books by posting to our blog.

And, I'm happy to say that you can now buy books from us online. By clicking on the "Buy Books" button on any page, you can go to our commerce site, which is run by the book distributor Baker & Taylor. It's not as pretty as we'd make it (if we ruled the world), but it allows you to research titles and authors, and gives you access to most everything in print. We offer free shipping to anywhere in the continental United States, so you can be part of the RiverRun experience wherever you may roam.

We hope you enjoy exploring our home on the web, and we hope you'll stop in and see us in Portsmouth whenever you're in town.

It's warm and sunny outside today. Okay, warmish... Anyway, hadn't updated the site in awhile as we clawed our way through the holidays and the dark winter months.

Locally owned, locally operated, locally involved.
